Oh so mysterioso. Silent stalkers. No gravy is wavier. Dr. Funlaw's art presents itself to you much like the plume of a peacock. The colors catch and coil you in, similar to the currents in a maelstrom. Each chef-d'oeuvre is a product of invention plucked from Funlaw's shared genius.

R.Law:

Believe it or not my toe is a lemon. Beware the citric acids of every step I take, for they will- and must- improve your tea and/or water. It is with a drop of my tongue-sucking-foot-liquid that I begin my story. I am Ryan Lawrence. I take lemon in my tea. Creating art is a good way for me to sink into myself and bathe in the images that connect my coursing thought streams. Without such an outlet I am of little sense and bland mind. My imagination is indeed much more creative than I, and in offering up the finest dental attention, it allows me to play bystander to the honest unveiling of my mind. Imaginations need fresh breath too! A minty cavity-fighting paste must be brushed deep into the spongy texture that is mind-skin in order to achieve maximum results. With a mind that nine out of ten dentists recommend, I am ready to allow the basin of ingenuity to fill with multicolored liquids. I let them incubate for as long as it takes; it takes such a long time! Honestly. I take the time to floss between the areas where my imagination and memory collide. Cleaning the metaphysical fault, careful not to disrupt the tectonic balance of sanity or suffer the consequences! We're talking the big one here, folks. But really, all I want is to design the backs of cereal boxes for a brand name company. That to me is art worth making.

D.Fun:

Though I take honey in my tea, I am not so different from my artistic consort. My name is Doni Funkhouser, and I too require the creative outlet drawing so readily supplies. Without constraint, I submerge myself into the vibrant hues produced as pen meets page, as vacuity gives way to saturation. Thirsty creatures request their preferred drink of color, and I oblige, paying homage to their Itten homeland. Just as Vonnegut’s Harmoniums feed on the vibrations of music, our characters feed on the permeation of color. We, as their gatekeepers, do our utmost to sate their appetites. Some works are constructed as atmospheres specific to their inhabitants, others are merely conjectural. In illustrating these environments, I learn much in the way of color/pattern relationship. Dark underscores light creating depth, Low Key generates drama, and simple patterns convey a sense of calm, while busy feels flamboyant. These lessons may appear obvious, but I assure you their employment was hard-earned. It has been said that salvation comes from the experiment; therefore I seek this, against all else, as my personal method of progression.
